What it is

How it is formed
Okorusu fluorite forms in hydrothermal environments where mineral rich fluids move through cavities in limestone and other host rock. As these fluids cool, fluorite crystallizes slowly, allowing well defined cubic or stepped crystal structures to develop. The Okorusu Mine is especially known for producing fluorite with strong color zoning and high clarity due to stable geological conditions during growth.
